Have been so, because I just haven’t had anything to say. Best to shut up then. Sometimes, its best to to just blink at the world. The least  you involve yourself with worldly matters, the saner you will remain. Not that it is always possible.

Like to recommend the two following films.

21 Grams – Naturally one would think this a film about drugs. Nope. But you have to see it. Has an ad hoc nature of displaying the events, but ultimately you do sympathise with the film. Much of the stuff shown are real today. Nominated for several awards in 2003.

Lastly King Arthur, the more realistic version of who he was and why he fought. “The Director’s Cut” verison is what I saw, and its a lot more blood and gore than the usual. Lancelot, and the gang. Friendship. Fighting for what is yours by right. Its just how you choose to go about them.

So, back off to continue in my silence. Because I know, just as Silence comes after a Storm, I should expect the latter soon…

A fictional story about Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination, during his electoral campaign. Presented quite well, and has the elements of hope and justice entwined into the story.

The last scenes shocking events have RFK’s famous speech – “On the Mindless Menace of Violence“. Truly a noble speech. We have much to learn from it.

I include a few quotes from this noble speech.

It is not the concern of any one race. The victims of the violence are black and white, rich and poor, young and old, famous and unknown. They are, most important of all, human beings whom other human beings loved and needed. No one – no matter where he lives or what he does – can be certain who will suffer from some senseless act of bloodshed. And yet it goes on and on and on in this country of ours.

When you teach a man to hate and fear his brother, when you teach that he is a lesser man because of his color or his beliefs or the policies he pursues, when you teach that those who differ from you threaten your freedom or your job or your family, then you also learn to confront others not as fellow citizens but as enemies, to be met not with cooperation but with conquest; to be subjugated and mastered.

Our lives on this planet are too short and the work to be done too great to let this spirit flourish any longer in our land. Of course we cannot vanquish it with a program, nor with a resolution.

But we can perhaps remember, if only for a time, that those who live with us are our brothers, that they share with us the same short moment of life; that they seek, as do we, nothing but the chance to live out their lives in purpose and in happiness, winning what satisfaction and fulfillment they can.

I saw this film several months ago, but never got to posting about it. Its all about the noble, war crazy Spartans, going on a suicide mission. What comes out is all blood and gore. It’s how they go about it that makes this film interesting. Nobility, wit, effective tactics, planning, and most of all loyalty to thy nation are just a few to learn and see. What is it that makes men brave? Is it fear or just plain stupidness? Or is it pride of belonging to a proud nation…

For those who wish to see it, here is the torrent

This is a film from 1995. I had seen it long ago, but it was one of those films that I never forgot about.

It’s all about energy, and the realization of what we all are. You can find the torrent here if you wish to see it yourself.

Even today, I feel it holds several facts that we often take for granted and / or are completely unaware of.

Followed up Indi’s lead about this film

This is one of the BEST films I have ever seen on lines of ‘American Beauty’ several years ago. But this film is SO GRAPHIC, and the acting of Ben Whishaw, how he shows us his reactions and feelings for each smell…

Some consider the ending not so fitting, but I guess he had his moment of glory, and all through the film, his modesty, innocence, humbleness are virtues that highlight this movie.

This film is definately for the senses, unluckily media has no way of propagating smell, otherwise this film would have been well… a disaster worldwide… 😉 [you’ll know what I mean if you watch the film]

Plus: This film is exactly what I was talking about in my previous post:

That’s the shitty part of having insight into anything. You know the feeling when your good at something, your sooo good, that you feel helpless that you can’t help somebody, because ultimately there’s nothing you can do….
